Making Money on Environmental Conservation
After two seasons of using the KWH Selective Dosing United (SDU) Sprayer the Combinatie Mauritz Tree Nurseries are no longer able to do without it. The acquisition of a new sprayer is one of the best purchases ever made by the company and last year alone produced savings amounting to approximately € 8,000.
“KWH Holland’s tree mist sprayer allows us to spray our trees in two thirds of the time and we are using at least 25% less in crop protection agents. Without a doubt this has been a good buy,” says owner Wouter Mauritz enthusiastically. The system only selects the amount of crop protection agent required at any moment and consequently saves on expensive crop protection agents.
A reliable party, close to home
In the past, Mauritz purchased its machines in Italy, but its experience has not always been all that good. “We experienced the same problems with our machines as the well-known Fyra high speed train problems. When something goes amiss, the needed help is far off. This is why we started looking for a reliable party, close to home, for our new machines. And our choice fell on KWH Holland.”
Contributing to solutions and good service
“Acquiring a new sprayer is not something you do just like that. It is a significant investment and you do not know in advance whether the machine is going to work as desired. It was therefore very much appreciated that KWH Holland contributed to figuring out which sprayer best fits the needs of our tree nurseries.” Furthermore, according to Mauritz, the after-sales service has been excellent. “When there is something amiss, they are there immediately to see what’s wrong and they help solve the problem. “That is the great thing about purchasing a machine in the Netherlands.”
Expectations met
The key concerns for Mauritz in acquiring a new sprayer were reliability, working with new technologies, and time and crop protection agent savings. “In looking back, KWH Holland has really met all of my requirements. We have no, or virtually no problems with our sprayer, we achieved significant cost savings this past year and with this tree mist sprayer we are making use of the newest technologies.”
